Saved Souls is a ongoing series of assemblages based on found metal tintype photographs. I imagine who the person is in the tintype, and then create a composition with antique objects to tell their story. The piece is mounted on a (discarded) antique book cover, and each comes with a stand. On the back, I sign and number each unique piece, and add a brief hand-written story about the soul who’ve I've “saved” from obscurity. Each piece also comes with its own box. Some examples of past “Saved Souls” are seen here. Click through for a closer look.
